Thanks for letting us have a little fun with making this announcement. It’s a big one, so we thought it would be neat to get some speculation going. As you know, we announced that John Dominic Crossan will be my debate opponent in Seattle on the 27th of August as part of our Second National Conference. Here are the details. After being joined by Mike O’Fallon to announce the debate, I finished my review of Dr. Herb Reavis’ sermon on Calvinism.

First hour we played material relevant to apologetic methodology as William Lane Craig continues his very interesting, if somewhat confusing, interaction with the debate Sye did on the radio. But we only got halfway through that, as I wanted to review some comments by Karlo Broussard on catholic.com attempting (badly) to parallel atheism with Protestantism (specifically, a belief in sola scriptura).

On Shining Shoes in Penance
Had to address the Sam Cathy/LeCrae video as a paradigm of the Woke Gospel, as promised. Spent the entire hour on the topic, as it is the “issue of the day.” Remember that next week will be tough as I will be out of town with marginal internet access, but we will try to make it work, in some fashion.
