I was literally on my way to the office to do a remote DL in the old studio, something we have done four or five times now, when I texted Rich and asked, “I know this is crazy but…any way we could use the big studio and the Flip board remotely?” And we made it work! Kudos to Rich! Now if we could just learn to do the DL without the ugly old dumb Scottish guy! So anyway, the topic! Yes, we dove into Exodus 3:14 and did some old-fashioned inter-textual study today at the start, and then moved into a discussion of the simplicity controversy, finishing with playing a segment from a Sinclair Ferguson sermon from (I believe) 2015. If you wish to end 2021 with some deep consideration of important issues, we hope this blesses you! See you in 2022!

James White, , Debate, Exegesis, Pauline Studies, Reformed Apologetics, Theology Matters
Finally got around to getting Dr. Michael Brown on the program to discuss the extent of the atonement. Just over 90 minutes of uncompromising, brotherly, respectful discussion of yet another topic upon which we disagree. Hopefully useful to all—and just wait till you see the explosion of color, too! Remember, this is the last program for the week as I

My friend John Cooper warned about this years ago, and

Live with Dr. Jason Lisle from Colorado Springs
James White, , Christian Worldview, General Apologetics, Pastoral Theology, Personal, Post-Evangelicalism, Reformed Apologetics, The Dividing Line
We did another Road Trip DL today and we had our first special guest, Dr. Jason Lisle of the Biblical Science Institute! We “geeked out” (according to my daughter) about fractals and science and worldview. It was a lot of fun! Make sure to get his new book on fractals, available here.

The Sacraments of the State
James White, , Abortion, Atheism, Christian Worldview, Persecution, Post-Evangelicalism, The Dividing Line
Started off with a great thread from Twitter on how abortion is the sacrament of the great religion of the State in light of the Texas abortion law and the responses from the left. Then we talked about unitarianism as a lead-in to the appointment of an atheist as the chief chaplain at Harvard (there is an historical connection), and

Ukraine, Hyper-Calvinism, David Allen, Shawn McCraney, and More!
James White, , The Dividing Line
First program back after nearly half a month on the road! Gave a report on the trip to Ukraine (and stops along the way), then moved on to other issues, including playing clips from David Allen (calling for fairness and accuracy of representation—so I am calling for him to be fair and accurate as well, and withdraw his false “hyper-Calvinism”
