Caught a few of the amazing stories coming out about how the left has used the US treasury as their own private slush fund, then moved on to a couple of tweets I forgot to cover Tuesday, one from Stephen Wolfe about a biblical theology of climate change, the other from Eric Conn about my desperation and irrelevance. Also covered some of the upcoming stops, and debates, on the next trip (which begins in about ten days).

Kent Hovind, Walid Shoebat, ChristianPrince, P&P
James White, , The Dividing Line
First program back after two weeks away! Responded to folks who had directly addressed me in public venues while I was away, including Kent Hovind’s falsehoods about the encounter I had with Gail Riplinger in November, 1993, Walid Shoebat’s continued “Christian Crusaderism” and Roman Catholic push, ChristianPrince’s video harangues, and last Friday’s mention by JD Hall that he had been

Some Pictures from Newberg
James White, , Personal
Just a few pictures from my recently completed trek to Oregon. If the setup looks familiar in this picture from the debate with Robert Sungenis on purgatory, it should; this is the same conference at which I debated Dan Barker last year, the famous “Don’t Quote Me, Bro!” debate. I wish I had had the opportunity to hear the debate

Romans 9 and Radio Free Geneva Continued
James White, , The Dividing Line
We listened to Steve Gregg’s entire presentation on Romans 9 from his mp3 series on Calvinism today, and I then provided my response. No one can say we aren’t fair in letting the other side have their time, to be sure! So we will open the phone lines on Thursday for callers. Anyone who wishes to defend Mr. Gregg’s comments

A New Year’s Passage
James White, , Misc
Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. You turn men back to dust, saying, “Return to dust, O sons of men.” For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone

Great Interview with Os Guinness on BAM / John Owen Speaks / You the Reader
James White, , Misc
I only caught the very first portion, but I really enjoyed what Os Guinness had to say on The Bible Answer Man broadcast today. At one point he said, “Modern evangelicals have traded sola scriptura for sola cultura.” Bravo! I hear he will be back on tomorrow. Here’s some info. Next, Richard Barcellos sent me a John Owen quote that

Judas and Open Theism, Preston Sprinkle and Pronoun Hospitality
James White, , Debate, General Apologetics, Homosexuality, Post-Evangelicalism, The Dividing Line
Two portions to the program today, the first dealing with Warren McGrew and the question, “Could Judas have done the right thing and not betrayed Jesus?” in reference to Jesus’ self-identification in John 13:19. Interesting stuff! Then we looked at Preston Sprinkle’s new book, Embodied, and examined his defense of “pronoun hospitality.”
